International academic visit: Professor Ján Lacko, PhD. (Pan-European University, Bratislava, Republic of Slovakia)
Download PdfContinuing our week of international visits, on Wednesday, February 18, we welcomed Professor Ján Lacko, PhD.,
Dean of the Faculty of Informatics at the Pan-European University in Bratislava, and
Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Informatics.
The visit consisted of two parts. We began the morning with a meeting with the GRIHO research group, where we exchanged presentations on our respective research areas. The aim was to identify potential lines of collaboration — and we quickly found that there are many promising intersections.
The second part of the visit involved a meeting with the Vice-Rector for Internationalisation of the University of Lleida and the management team of the Polytecnic School (EPS). The discussion focused on establishing new academic collaborations between both faculties. In the coming weeks, a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed, together with a mobility agreement for the Bachelor’s Degrees in Computer Engineering and in Digital Design and Creative Technologies. Additionally, both institutions will explore the feasibility of setting up a double degree programme.
